Dr. Vakil:
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Vakil is proud to serve his hometown community as
a trusted dentist. He earned both his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) and Master of
Medical Sciences (M.M.Sc.) from Boston University, followed by a dental residency at
Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Vakil graduated at the top of his class in dental
school, Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Vakil’s clinical expertise includes dental implants, bone augmentation, cosmetic, and
restorative dentistry. His practice is guided by a strong commitment to patient ethics,
ensuring that every treatment plan is transparent, evidence-based, and tailored to the
individual needs of his patients. He believes in practicing dentistry with integrity,
compassion, and respect — prioritizing patient comfort and long-term oral health over
quick fixes.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vakil enjoys traveling with his family, golfing, and spending time
with his two children, Riyan and Mila.

Sara Ruby Williams:
Sara Williams is our office manager and Registered Dental Assistant. She is a native Houstonian and attended Southwest Texas State University and the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry. She has been in the dental field since 1982, and has been in this practice since 1993; starting with Dr. Battarbee, continuing through his retirement and the subsequent change into Generations Family Dentistry.
Sara is married and lives on an operating cattle ranch west of Houston, with three cats, four dogs, numerous cattle, and her husband. She is a longtime volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and enjoys college sports and spending time with friends and family.

Shelby Niemann:
Shelby is a dental hygienist and is part of our team here at Generations Family Dentistry. Shelby initially received her degree in dental hygiene from Pima Medical Institute in 2017 and was also the recipient of the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award. She then continued her education at Texas Woman’s University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and graduated with honors.
As a hygienist, Shelby strives to provide all her patients with high-quality care and aims to make her patients as comfortable as possible during their appointments. She enjoys getting to know her patients and looks forward to helping them achieve their oral health goals through education and tailored care. To better help her patients, she regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current on the latest technologies and prevention strategies in dentistry. She is committed to providing compassionate care and is proud to go the extra mile for her patients.
In her free time, Shelby loves spending time with her family and friends. She is married with two young boys and two dogs. She also enjoys coffee, spending time outdoors, and DIY projects.

Yasnely Santos:
Yasnely Santos moved from Cuba to the United States in 2006. She is happily married with two incredible beautifuls daughters. Yasnelly graduated in June 2016 as a Registered Dental Assistant and moved to Katy Texas in 2017. The same year, she started in her first office as a dental assistant with many fears and questions whether she had chosen the right career.
Over the years, she fell in love with dentistry every day. The dedication to patient care, patient education, and making sure every patient leaves with a smile is what is most important to her.
In January 2023, Yasnelly joined the Generations Family Dentistry team! She feels beyond blessed to have such a qualified, experienced, and caring team of professionals.
In her free time, Yasnelly loves to clean, watch romantic and drama movies, spend time with her girls, experience new places, and go to the beach or anything related to water.
