Many patients wonder what alternative orthodontic treatments are available to patients wanting straight teeth. Invisalign clear aligners offer an alternative to braces with no brackets or wires.

Invisalign trays are clear and smooth, making them comfortable when worn in the mouth. Invisalign trays are worn in a series, and they gently move your teeth into place. The trays are removable and can be cleaned easily. Eating and drinking is simple, and the trays are clear making this a discrete treatment.

On average the Invisalign trays need to be worn anywhere between 20-22 hours a day, and this varies per patient.

Our team at Generations Family Dentistry will get to know you on a personal level, and will create a customized treatment plan. During our evaluation process, our team will take photos, molds, and x-rays, as well as a 3D image of each patient’s teeth to help create the customized treatment plan.

Many patients are concerned that Invisalign will take longer than traditional braces. On average, Invisalign treatment takes anywhere between 6-18 months depending on the severity of the correction. This timeframe is right in line with the length of time braces are worn. In some cases Invisalign is worn for a shorter amount of time compared to braces.
